EXTENDED DEADLINE!!!
GOOD NEWS DEAR ALUMNI,
After last week's registration period from 17-20th June, about 70 tables have already been sold!
Due to feedback requesting for extension of the registration as a few tables are still being consolidated, the deadline for the tables will be extended till the end of the week (26th June)!
Likewise, you may choose to contact Mdm Asiah at 62850779 or pay a visit to the SRJC general office to make payment and confirmation!
So hurry and make reservations before the last few available tables get taken up too!

what you expected from the cost
hello people.
probably some people might think the cost of the tix is too expensive and you don't know what kind of returns u all will be getting.
Well.. of course, the good night you will be enjoying! Besides gathering with old friends and teachers, and checking out the 'new' school, there will be fantastic performances done up by our own srjcians!
You will enjoy the night more if you take pictures. Yes, taking it and printing them out INSTANTLY!
there will be this service available on that day and it will be great still if u dun have a camera. Handphone camera will do too.
Plus, there will be SMS service, so that you can post your message on the screen. be it a calling for someone, or just best wishes. :D
There will also be gift packs for you all to take back! yes.. a very special one.
I'm not going to tell you what is it though, buy the tix to find out how great it is. And FYI, it's still worth the price u pay. cos the gift pack is quite valuable.
Another thing to look forward is the food!!! YUMMY! it's going to be spread people. i'm sure of that!
pls drool at the mention of that. lol!

Closing date for Gala dinner registration
Dear SRJC Alumni,
As the 20th anniversary gala dinner is getting near, may i say that it's time to quickly gather your fellow ex-srjcian friends to form a table and hopefully receive the payment by saturday, 20th June 7pm.
We will be closing registration for the SRJC 20th Anniversary Dinner by 20th June 2009! We will be setting up registration booth in the college over 4 days"

20th Anniversary Gala Dinner
The 20th Anniversary of the College is a great time to take a walk down memory lane, to reconnect with old teachers and friends, to take this evening to rejoice together on this occasion and to reignite the SRJC passion and spirit as we reminisce about the good ol' days.
Feel free to arrive early to take a leisurely stroll around the college to see the changes that have taken place to her otherwise familiar façade. Embark on the heritage trail that will take you through the eras of the different principals who have shaped the face of SRJC.
Check out interesting memorabilia and displays that celebrate the changes, big and small, the successes that SR has seen through the years. See and experience how the familiar and nostalgic find a balance with the new and innovative in SR’s continual striving for renewal, growth and relevance. If you like, join one of the guided walks to the sites of the most significant changes with one of alumni and see SRJC through a yet a different pair of eyes, and to feel the fellowship in the shared memories and experiences in the school.
What better way to catch up with old friends – and perhaps to make some new ones! – than over a good meal? The evening itself will be rife with opportunities to remember the old times – or for some of us, to learn about what the older times were like – and to see some familiar and dear faces as we take time to appreciate where we have been as part of SR so that we can anticipate how we can still be a part of the SRJC spirit in the times to come.

Miss Rosalind Gurupatham Jeyamoney (Miss G), a Literature teacher, has passed away.
Evening service wake for her will be held tentatively at 8pm today 8th June at Singapore Casket.
Singapore Casket, Regency Room Level 5. Evening service wake is at 8pm, June 8 and 9, at 8pm.
Funeral Service at St Andrew's Cathedral at 1030am on Wednesday.
Our hearts and condolences go to her family and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace

Coming up soon will be our Annual General Meeting. It is on 4th April, 1pm. As for the venue, it's LT 1.
Please come if you are considering to play a bigger role in your contribution to the school, besides being a member of the facebook alumni only. :D
You're welcome to bring your srjc friends along toO!
There will also be a charity event, which we call SR Rockfest. It is on 21st April at 6.00pm in the school hall. I'm sure it's going to be a blasting event. With such a memorable night, i'm sure your donation to the school as well as to the Alumni's Endowment Fund would worth more than just the price of the ticket $5.
As for what is the Endowment Fund, it is to help those students who are not qualified for the aid that help those from poorer family. especially middle income students that are not that rich. well, that is the general idea of what Endowment Fund is. For further information, you can email your enquiry regarding this to serangoonjc_alumni@yahoo.com.sg
On 24th April, 8 am, there will be SR Olympics happening in school. From the words, you should know that it's a sports event! Yeah! Those interested, please sign yourself up at the facebook alumni page to confirm your attendance!

SR Rock Band Concert
another update would be 23rd April, 7.30pm. There will be a concert held in SR.
it's kind of a rock band concert comprising of student and teachers. yes, mr edson ng is going to partake in that too!!
*applause* *whistle for mr edson!!! imagine him singing like a rock star, or playing the guitar* LOL!
ok, of course, a small entree fee is needed to enjoy the skyrocketing performance. :D

anniversary update
HI all!!!
yes, i'm here to update again with regard to the anniversary dinner!
anyway, there will College day in the afternoon before the dinner.
It will start from 12 to about 4.30 pm.
After which, about 4.30 to 6pm, there will be a Heritage tour around the newly revamped school!
Please do remember to come within 4.30-5.30pm so you won't miss out any exciting part of the school tour!!
At 6.15pm, it is the important event SRJC. It is the unveiling of the sculpture dedicated to Mr. Thomas Tan, our very first principal.
at 7pm, the dinner will start.
To make the heritage tour successful, it would be appreciated if anyone could contribute or even lend the school something you collected during the days you attended school for display.
Tickets
As for the tickets for the dinner, it would be great if you can gather your fellow srjcian friends to come along to this dinner before requesting anyone of the alumni for the number of tickets.
we've come up a plan that at least 2 tables of 10 people from the same year to sit together.
of course, if you have your group already, like 'rocmoc group' or 'council group' or 'rugby group' OR 'class 2S.. of which year' it would be better for us to group you guys up so you all can sit together. and soon, we will be putting up a link for you to download this form to indicate groupings.
the price for a tix, after a rough estimation that include many elements, is about $68.
There will be many performance of course. So whoever wants to perform, you are definitely warmly welcome!!! in fact, we need you so our performance part would be great!

4th of July 2009! it's not US's independence day for Singapore!
It's on saturday!
so people who work, please dun work your brains out and forget this day!
Those in army, give all possible reasons to the higher authority to let you come down for this gathering dinner!!!!
yup, and no push-up if you're late because as long as you come, the whole alumni and school will be happy that you can make it!
Those in love, please say "hasta la vista, baby. I'll be back!"
As for those not mentioned (because i cant think anymore), we really look forward to your arrival.
